Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision, accuracy, and reliability of raw material, manufactured precision components, and equipment.

Duties Include:

  • Inspecting and approving raw materials upon arrival.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of small diameter parts using various inspection tools, with a focus on maintaining tight tolerances and specifications.
  • Utilizing precision measurement instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and Keyence Vision System to perform accurate inspections and measurements.
  • Collaborating closely with the production team to identify, address, and rectify any quality-related issues in real-time.
  • Reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards.
  • Documenting inspection results, non-conformities, and corrective actions in a clear and organized manner.
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of Keyence Vision System operation and leveraging it to enhance inspection efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of quality control procedures and best practices.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and contributing to the overall enhancement of product quality.
  • Communicating effectively with team members and management regarding inspection findings and quality concerns.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of the quality control process and participating in training programs as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in precision machining or quality control is a plus.
  • Proven experience with quality assurance in a CNC machining environment.
  • Strong proficiency in using precision measurement tools and equipment.
  • Familiarity with and ability to program Keyence Vision System is highly desirable.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and an aptitude for identifying subtle defects.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and report inspection results.
  • Problem-solving abilities to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with ISO quality standards and quality management systems.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
